Valeria Glibiciuc (b. 2002) is a Moldovan visual artist currently based in the Netherlands, where she is pursuing her studies at the Minerva Academy of Art in Groningen.
Raised in an artistic environment, Valeria was immersed from an early age in a culture of visual expression. Her upbringing within a family of creatives — particularly influenced by her father, a traditional iconographer — fostered a nuanced sensitivity toward form, symbolism, and the metaphysical dimensions of art. In 2021, she graduated from the “Alexandru Plămădeală” College of Art in Chișinău, Moldova.
Valeria distinguishes herself through an extensive exhibition record, encompassing both solo and group shows, as well as participation in high-profile art fairs at national and international levels, held in esteemed cultural institutions.
Her artistic practice is dedicated to a profound investigation of the relationship between nature and the human experience. Through a visual language defined by a vibrant chromatic palette and fluid, organic forms, she captures the ephemeral essence of the human condition, highlighting the perpetual transformations inherent to existence. Her compositions hold tension between containment and openness, suggesting states of becoming rather than fixed identities. The paintings act as porous environments where growth is visible, yet incomplete, where human and nonhuman, co-construct space.
